What would you do if you suddenly discovered you possessed capabilities you didn't understand, and were incapable of controlling? What if the people who gave them to you wanted you dead?This is what has happened to Will Bryant. Bryant is a troubled young man who watched his brother die at the hands of a rival gang-member during his own initiation. One night he happens upon an injustice that he is able to prevent. Things become more chilling when Drew Heisler, an escaped convict who was serving a life sentence for murder, pursues Bryant. Heisler is a scientist, employed in a past life by a secret government project designed to harness the power of stem cell research on the battlefield. He takes an obsessive interest in Bryant. Bryant is naturally inclined to avoid Heisler because of his criminal background. He does not realize that Heisler holds a secret that may make him the only man who can help Bryant.
