Author Description

Victor Sallow was four years old when his mother first locked him in the root cellar as punishment. Repeated confinements force Victor to become accustomed to its damp and decaying space, and eventually he embraces the darkness that surrounds him. Deep in the roots of his family tree lie secrets of betrayal and murder. With the tainted blood of the Beckett family coursing through his veins, ten-year-old Victor soon develops his own thirst for murder and must find a way to free himself from the constraints of his childhood prison. Utilizing the cellar’s four dark and muddy walls as his safe space, Victor trains on the skills he will need, which soon become as natural to him as breathing. In time, the darkness consumes him, and he embraces his calling and his new life, the life of a killer.
