Mystery surrounds the House on Blue Lake Drive. Two friends, Kathy West and Jodi Austin, play amateur detectives and run into more problems than they bargained for. Right after the elderly couple, Chet and Nora Lindstrom, sell their beautiful home to Steve and Kathy West, strange things begin happening. Noises that cannot be accounted for and a stranger asking nosey questions about the Lindstroms, in an attempt to find where they moved to. Although Kathy and Jodi are married, their husbands have no idea what is going on and the girls want to keep it that way, that is, until one of them sustains a bad injury and lands in the hospital, after their car is pulled over on a dark road and a masked man attacks them.
