Author Description

This book is a collection of poems and lyrics written over the last decade. Hand written on any blank paper i can find, often decorated or done on top of original art, dated and signed, then laminated. For years I've carried them with me every where life has taken me. I invite people to pick one at random from my "Biscuit Box" for me to read to them aloud. The response has always been good, and sometimes magical, where they pull one written on their birthday, or their mothers or child birthday. locally they've become legendary, and they also adopted the name when someone said "they are like daily bread." to someone asking what they are as they were getting ready pick their first one. I interjected "Daily bread? I don't know about all that, maybe a biscuit, not bread!" and so they got there name "Steven Bell's Daily Biscuits". People have often expressed to me that I need to make a book of them. I agree and have had the desire to for several years. Through the efforts of myself and my son,Topher, that desire has been filled. We've photo copied each "Biscuit" so that these magical words of inspiration, love, and my interpretations of this life, may be shared with those who I don't haven the pleasure of meeting in person the way they were meant to be seen. I hope to make people smile, feel good about themselves, affirm the feelings we all have, provide coping tools, remind everyone what a beautiful gift life is, and inspire them to spread the love they carry inside. i write them randomly with no planning or editing. they are each of themselves individual. started with the first line and completed when the page is filled.
