What do a nun, a dragon whisperer, an archer, a snake dancer and a big, one eyed ex-soldier have in common? They have all been secretly recruited to locate and retrieve a sacred chalice which has been stolen, along with other holy treasures, by a fierce, nomadic tribe of raiders called the Skull Pikes who have been plundering villages and churches across the land of Pyria. Using magic, cunning, guile and a dragon the motley crew of misfits set about their quest. Meanwhile the leader of the Skull Pikes is planning to trade the haul of stolen holy relics to a crazy, pagan monk, who is seeking immortality, in return for the hand of his beguiling daughter. Can the crusading nun and her band of reluctant heroes get the better of the savage tribe and recover the Sacred Chalice in time for a religious summer solstice event? Or will the vicious, self serving Skull Pike leader succeed in his own selfish mission?
