I've written these life-stories in a chatty conversational style, like you've just wandered into a bar and some random guy (me) has started blabbing on about how unusual his life has been. I say 'man in a bar' and not man on a park bench as with Forrest Gump, although one or two of my supernatural themed stories will very likely be as unbelievable as any of the aforementioned fictional character's weird but wonderful ramblings.The title story revisits my all too brief meeting with Her Majesty the Queen of England, something I believe neither of us will ever forget albeit for very different reasons.:0From there we move into a collection of stories including the bizarre tale of Vlad the Cannibal, which sees me fending off a real-life Hannibal Lecter of sorts; along with the accurately titled Grand Theft Out of Body, in which an out of body experience leads me to foil a car theft; and I promise that you'll never forget Love Never Dies, a 'beyond the grave' story featuring an account of clairvoyance that will leave you absolutely gobsmacked!These are just a few of the strange but true stories that await your disbelieving eyes. But nothing I can write here could prepare you for the book's mind-boggling conclusion, which I've presented as a short essay-style appendix, where I ask the questions: are we really who think we are, or does the 'real' us exist outside of our physical bodies in a place beyond this reality frame? And is it possible that our 'minds' are simply being held captivated within a grand-simulation of our own making?I will leave it to decide what, if any truth you will allow yourselves to see.Glen JoshuaAugust 2017
