Promyse woke up to the sound of someone beating on the front door. She was so out of it from the night before she was not sure if the knock was real or if she had been dreaming. She rolled over to see if her husband Harambae had been disturbed by the noise but his side of the bed was cold. She pulled her cell phone from underneath pillow, and checked the time it was three in the morning. She had been sleep for a few hours. The sound of the dog barking like crazy could only mean one thing; somebody undesirable was out there. She slid out of bed and walked outside to the balcony that overlooked the back yard and what she saw made her heart drop into the pit of her stomach. She knew it was over!
