Every month when we would play, I was asked if I was really, writing the book about Bunco. I would reply, "Yes, I am really writing the book." At the time that I began my project, there were twelve women in our group, and I can not imagine having done this without their encouragement. In fact, it was my pledge to them that sustained me throughout my work.
