Author Description

She was born and raised into everything, but sunshine. After surviving an abduction and child abuse as a toddler, she came of age in the Boogie Down Bronx during the turbulent 70's. She witnessed the creation of one of the most notorious street gangs of the day, along with the creation of the World of Hip Hop right outside her back door. She went to college to escape her chaotic household only to return to the devastating effects of the AIDS epidemic and the rise of Crack Cocaine which took over her beloved streets of New York. After encountering numerous incidents of domestic violence and sexual abuse, she devised a plan, like so many others before her, just to survive. This is her story of resilience.
