A Jail Without Bars: A Warrior's Tale Of Transcendental Freedom is all at once a philosophical allegory on the nature of the conflict within us all, a psychological thriller set in a dystopian city, and a spiritual field guide to realizing total freedom from the known. The author, a retired United States Marine of the intelligence profession, began writing it originally as a poem to cope with the stressors of daily military life. However, the poem quickly took on a mind of its own and became something far greater than intended. Over the course of years, it took on its own identity as a fully fleshed out story. A story which will undoubtedly stand the test of time and bestow a new realization to all those who read it.
