Pamela grew up believing in fairy tales. As a young adult Pamela chased the fabled Prince Charming, desperately in search of love and acceptance. But by the age of 32, she had been married and divorced three times and was seven years into a failing fourth. Pamela was living a life fraught with lies. To the outside world, she appeared to be a self-assured business woman, loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated church leader. But inside she felt like a fraud. In private, Pamela felt worthless, undeserving, unqualified, lonely and tired of having to prove herself. It wasn't enough for Pamela to be the best in every area of her life, she had to be better than the best; Pamela had to be Superwoman. And then one day, in the midst of a serious health crisis, Pamela watched God shatter the many lies she had been living, releasing her to accept the love God offered her. Author's note: It took me more than a few years to understand and fully embrace the life God was offering to me, but once I did I wished I'd done it way sooner. Doing life hand-in-hand with the God of the Universe is amazing. He has shown himself to be real and completely faithful through all of my life's circumstances. For the last 15 years as I wrote in my prayer journals and poured out my heart to God, the two messages I consistently received were, "write your story" and "tell your story." But as I began the task of telling my story, I realized that in reality, Shattered Lies is His story. It's a story of how the God of the Universe stepped intimately into my life and made something unbelievably beautiful from my mess. I am not the only one who has experienced debilitating health crises, failed relationships, estrangement from a loved one, or catastrophic financial ruin. I believe God wants me to share my story as an encouragement to someone who may still be in the worst of times. If that's you, or someone you love, I hope you will be encouraged, because Shattered Lies has been written for those who feel
