Winter--A Time to Be Nurtured!In winter, the days are colder and the nights are longer. Trees and flowers become dormant as seeds fall to the earth and die—lifeless for the time being. The sun’s rays from above are cut short by gray clouds that amass overhead. Sometimes life isn’t all blue skies and we battle discouragement. We can feel alone, overlooked, spiritually on hold. Winter is a time when our Father tenderly calls us inward. Sometimes the feelings for Him are there--sometimes they’re not. But always Papa is calling us further into Himself as He removes the unhealthy foliage from our hearts and causes our roots to go deep down into healthy soil.
