Explore tidings of great joy during Advent 1999! This resource offers five sessions for individual or group use during the four weeks of Advent, with an additional lesson for Christmas Day. Each session includes commentary on the passage based on the NRSV. Questions at the end of each section encourage readers to reflect on the meaning of the reading for them personally; these questions are not intended for group discussion. For those who wish to study Tidings of Joy in a group, a separate guide is available. The Leader's Guide is a series of six nested sheets-one introductory and one for each lesson. In addition to weekly lesson plans, each sheet provides group discussion questions.
