Bingo Borden attends elementary school in the United States, but she often travels with her parents on vacation to Europe and to the Caribbean. Her adventures begin at school or on a boring day at home, but sometimes they are launched while skiing in the Alps or walking along the Seine in Paris. They inevitably take her to enchanted worlds populated by unicorns, good and bad witches, a chimera, and a horse with wings. In Computer Land she and her friend Johnny McBee meet a bulldozer that talks, a bush named Rose, Rose, Rose, Rose, and another named Shrub.
