The Canadian Farm Income Program (CFIP) is a whole farm financial assistance program for the 2000, 2001, and 2002 taxation years. The objective of CFIP is to provide short-term income support to eligible applicants who, due to circumstances beyond their control, have experienced a dramatic reduction in their 2002 farming income relative to previous years. The program provides suport in addition to the core safety-net package of the Net Income Stabilization Account (NISA), crop insurance and provincial companion programs.
