The project "neoTrópico" (2017) by photographer Gerardo Suter (Buenos Aires, Argentina 1957) developed together with curator Jorge La Ferla for the Alameda Art Laboratory, has resulted in a body of work materialized in an audiovisual installation and eleven micro-stories -as open collections of images, texts and sounds- that work as a preview or initial sketches of future proposals. The video-installation "Cajanegra" combines cinema, photography, literature, archive and was developed from the manipulation of a night vision video file (found in the web) of illegal immigrants sneaking into the United States in Arizona in 2009, "a visual-sound piece with an immersive character."
