Author Description

For Emmaline O'Byrne, books are an escape from her lonely life in a big city. But when her mother dies suddenly, she must move to a small seaside town with a grandmother who doesn't want her, strange deaths around every corner, and no decent library in sight. Emmaline's life changes in an instant when she meets her mysterious Great-Uncle Alastair and discovers his magical library where she can read a line from a book and pop into it. As Alastair's heir and future guardian of the library, she's exploring life through her favorite books and mastering the arts of a Paladin Knight. The only downside is the strain of keeping the secret from her new best friends who live next door. Yet when Alastair journeys into a book and doesn't return, Emmaline will need every skill she's learned—to survive the leap to rescue him, evade the killer who has followed her, and voyage home before she and Alastair are trapped in the book forever.
