This series explores science that saves lives. We take a look at the discovery and development of important technolgies such as scans, and vaccinations, and explore the impact on survival rates as a result. Taking a look at the diseases and illness treated by these marvels of medicine, we explore case studies and find out how discoveries such as antibiotics and anaesthetics changed medicine forever.
