Author Description

The Mixed American Culture (MAC) Church, where significant numbers of African Americans and Whites worship together in one local body, is one of the cutting-edge subjects discussed in the church today. How do we build local churches that defy the separation that exists on Sunday mornings in our churches? What are the unseen barriers that still keep us separated (some would say segregated) on Sunday mornings … even in 2018? What are some practical steps to take to overcome those barricades? In this insightful book, Dr. Alfred E. Smith combines relevant field research, compelling data, and practical principles to give concrete steps on how we can build MAC churches. Simple enough to read, but scholarly sufficient to hold weight, this book is a must for anyone wrestling with these issues in their hearts and churches, seeking for answers they can use today.
