Author Description

One of the most prestigious preparatory schools in London in 1925, Shaw House boasts some of the world's greatest scholars and visionaries. Children blessed with gifts for the arts and humanities are drawn here to compete for spots in the exclusive class. No matter the age, no matter the money, Shaw House is a place for everyone. If only a person meets the requirements. For Estelle Darling, a girl who has dreams of pirates and flying above the streets of London, and who has a knack for troublemaking and storytelling like no one she's ever known before, Shaw House is an opportunity she can't refuse. And for Hart, a boy who has always wondered about things he can't quite explain, with his mother in an asylum, shouting about talking rabbits and painted roses, Shaw House is his one chance to escape. But Shaw House has secrets. Secrets of pirates, fairies, queens, and white rabbits. And as Estelle and Hart start to become curious of the world Shaw House is part of, they start to uncover not only Shaw House's secrets, but the roles they play in those secrets themselves. Because a threat lurks in the shadows... one that's been watching and waiting for the perfect time to strike.
