Author Description

This volume of papers is festschrift in honour of Prof (Dr.) Sewa Singh as a tribute for a dedicated and competent colleague of the library and information science profession. He has always been very good as a teacher, research guide, friend, a prolific author, and an active participant and contributor in national and International seminars/conferences. The 70 papers included in this volume therefore cover the entire spectrum of librarianship: L1S education and research, ICT applications, library development form traditional system to the digital library, e-resources and services, e-publishing, knowledge management, library information system and services, e-governance, internet and networked environment, and so on. The different perspectives provided in this volume are relevant and need of the hour for teachers, learners and scholars who will take the profession of librarianship to new heights in the times to come.
