With their keen sense of intuition and with supplies that they salvage from deserted stores, the teenagers battle dinosaurs, or saurs as they call them, with guns, ingenuity, and the sheer determination to live.But, the saurs are just as clever as the teens. They prey on the greed of human nature to turn one human against another. The teens no longer know who they can trust, as stated in one of Staci's "rules": "Never trust a smiling alligator." Their adrenaline packed adventure leads them to a harrowing conclusion, one in which they are cornered in the saurs' final trap.About the AuthorStaci Rizner, a Junior at Calhoun County High School in St. Matthews, South Carolina, pursues her love of writing in the form of science fiction, poetry, and articles for her school newspaper. Staci's love of dinosaurs inspired her to write her first novel, Last Chance Out, at the age of fifteen, with a grant from the Calhoun County Museum South Carolina Arts Commission, which is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. Currently, Staci is writing a sequel to Last Chance Out, which will be titled "Battle of theSaurs".
