January 13, 2018, Abby Guyer's 16th birthday. Her first thought was that this birthday would feel empty without her stepfather who passed away recently; the only father she's ever known. Times have been difficult for Abby and her mother Lily, but all that was about to change. This particular day had other plans. Who was Henry Fairdale and why did he leave them a fully furnished, historic farmhouse in upscale New Hope, Pennsylvania in his will? Who left Abby an anonymous gift of a mysterious amulet? And why is that same amulet on a cat's collar who keeps showing up? Does it have anything to do with an obelisk she found in an overgrown cemetery that has that very design in the stone? Maybe a trip to 1918 would hold the answers. Or, would it pose more questions? Abby soon learns there's more to it all than meets the eye and that time, unfortunately, is running out.
