Author Description

Stunning grayscale, pencil art. This is something rarely seen, Cowboy Poetry and cowboy artwork combined by a renowned cowboy artist and poet named Christine Riker. Her pencil drawings are so incredibly life-like, most people think these are photographs, engravings, or photoshopped images. But each and every image was painstakingly hand-drawn with near-perfect precision, capturing the magic of a bygone era. The author writes: "This book is dedicated to the memory of all the silver screen cowboys, both genuine cowboys and actors, who kept the Western Frontier alive for generations of boys and girls the world over. This is truly a one-of-a-kind publication and will be a treasure for those of us old enough to remember these "Reel" cowboys and a wonderful way to teach our grandchildren about the good 'ol days when the good guys wore white hats and the bad guys wore black hats, maybe even call-up a few of these old Westerns for our kids to watch and enjoy. 115 pages of thoughtful, uplifting, poignant poetry, and stunning art will keep you and your kids entertained for hours.
