Author Description

TABOR The Apprentice’s Book of Reflections Human nature and all its complexity lends itself to inspection and introspection. Quick snapshots of the various aspects of the human condition provide food for thought. A provocative book offering insights on concepts ranging from psychological development and personality disorders to friendship and the loss of potential through failure to act or to bring enough energy to the occasion. The soul’s purpose, aging and generational gaps and the naïve optimism of the young, and the importance of creativity in all its forms take their turn under the microscope. Emotions, too, get their share of attention: hatred, envy, jealousy, anger—in both its original form and transcendence into something else—and love, the “great watering in the cultivation of fields both in life and civic responsibility.” Author D.B. GaNung provides his interpretation of the many aspects of truth, from conceit to premature to openness, as well as knowledge and wisdom, their differences and the discovery of insights. Mentors and their responsibility to the young, and the struggle to achieve internal unity play out against a backdrop of intellectual curiosity about the human spirit.
