Author Description

Maria, who is going through a messy, painful divorce, engulfed in her own misery and trying to cope, becomes caught up in a secret organization. By committing to honor the organization's code, she commits a crime that forces her to run from the police and continue to run to save her life. Trying to extrapolate herself from her legal issue and her ruined life, Maria gets more involved with what turns out to be 'codes within codes'. The answers to the codes will enable Maria to avenge the murder of a friend. Maria cannot solve the code. Experts she has consulted with cannot solve the code. Therefore, you, the reader, is asked to follow Maria's path and decipher the codes. Who of you can do that? When the time is right, I will give you a way to get in touch with me. We will then work together to solve the crime of Camille's murder. Dr. M. J. Raney is a pen name. She is also an author by another name. She spends her time travelling to gather information for her novels. A family trust fund allows her to travel and enables her to live a lifestyle of associating with the rich. She calls no place home, nor do her friends and acquaintances know her occupation. Why, then, has she provided the reader with a picture? She is testing to determine if any of her friends, professors, etc., read, and if so, will they know her true identity. Please look for her picture on another novel written by this author using another name. Mysteries are her genre, and her pen names are part of the game. Or, maybe, this is not her picture at all.
