Author Description

Kathleen Venezia's latest collection of poems primarily focuses on the solitude that often surfaces in one's day-to-day experiences. Within the obligations and distractions of daily life, occasionally a shadow cast by Mother Nature or human nature briefly interrupts the present with past memories or future concerns. The poetry in Solitary Neighbors records fleeting insights, observations, and feelings which pierce through routine situations and which make an individual unique. Solitary Neighbors will resonate with readers who by nature or choice enjoy a sensitive and observational relationship with the world that surrounds them. Kathleen Venezia is the author of Longview (poetry) and two short story collections: Park Bench Stories and Park Bench Stories, Volume II. Her writings are included in Carmel Creations, 2018, an anthology by Carmel Creative Writers. She resides in Carmel, Indiana, with her husband.
