Author Description

Bert is thirteen and has a best friend named George. He has a father who tries to be strict and a softhearted mother and sixteen-year-old sister, and as with all brothers and sisters, they argue and make fun of one another. Bert gets himself into a few silly situations, from rescuing a reluctant cat that's stuck up a tree, to a chase around the school. He flirts with the girls. He has lots of trouble with his bike and accidentally gets intoxicated for the first time and gets very sick on cream cakes.
