In Cheyenne Wyoming, there is a grandpa that was blessed with 57 years of marriage, two grown children with families, faith in God, a successful Engineering career and a lifelong adventurous connection to the outdoors and bow hunting. The “hunting” word itself is intriguing and hints to the unknown that drives this old man. The author grew up in the flatlands of Illinois and self-described as “a hick from the sticks “with some ambition to do more than farming. The suburbs of Decatur, McArthur High School and Millikin University were stepping stones to a purpose driven life that satisfied the human needs for family, creativity and a sport that inspired world travel. About the Author Gary W. Brimm contributed to the perpetuation of the sport by becoming a certified Bow Hunting Education teacher, building his own equipment, using it successfully and writing as a column author for Bowhunting magazines for over 20 years. Teaching Hunter Safety Education to young people satisfied a contribution to society and building his own AR-10/.308 caliber hunting rifle fed the creative interest in firearms, not to mention becoming a firearms dealer in Texas.
