Product Description Big Sisters is the story of two remarkable women-Kay Boudreaux and her younger sister, Sibyl Buisson Eckert-whose desperate search for a cure led them to the miracle of healing. When forty-four-year-old Kay had a stroke that left her totally paralyzed and unable to speak, Sibyl prayed for a miracle-Kay's full recovery. But that was not to be. Kay would not be granted a miracle; she became one. Unable to move and able to communicate only by blinking her eyes, Kay lives a life of the mind and the spirit and touches all those who come to know her. Sibyl's account of her sister's life is filled with love and laughter and the sheer joy of existence. About the Author Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sibyl Buisson Eckert worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines from 1968 to 1971. She then married Scotty Eckert and worked with him in sales until 2008. She is now retired and resides in Mandeville, Louisiana. In the late eighties, following the traumatic experience of her sister Kay's debilitating stroke, Sibyl was a volunteer for three years as a telephone counselor for Crisis Line, where she received in-depth training in dealing with people over the telephone through methods of active listening and problem-solving techniques.
