This book contains a selection from the poems of Mir Ghulam Bhik Nairang (1876-1952), a poet politician, who apart from a natural lyrical cadence to his diction, had been involved in a number of political movements, beginning with the Civil Disobedience Movement (1918-1922) to the Pakistan Movement ( 1940-1947), his participation being fully reflected in his poetry. Ghulam Bhik Nairang was popular as a poet in his lifetime, and has seen many periods of revival. His complete works were published in 1983 by the same critic making this selection. This selection is thus both representative and authoritative, designed to appeal to wide circle of readers.
