A former psychiatrist, Dr. Clemens, holds court at a bar on the Strip in Las Vegas. It's there that Clemens reflects on his past and establishes a new kind of 'practice' with the patrons he encounters. In his new role as self-proclaimed Witness/Confidant, he hopes to convince others to commit to an alternative approach to life that's not only more intentional and sustainable but applicable to the struggles of their everyday lives and the deeper existential issues that affect their overall well-being. As such, he and whoever dares to engage with him ponder the nature of grief, sexual politics, and self-actualization; question the prevailing healthcare, criminal justice, and economic systems; and, ultimately, fear for the plight of the environment and the consequences of the looming global climate crisis.
