
Historical novel by prolific Puerto Rican writer Tina Casanova. This novel narrates the initial 13 years of the first Spanish settlement in San Juan, called Caparra, and the difficulties of the original inhabitants that faced the colonial oppression. Tina Casanova (1949) is the author of the novel triology which includes titles Sambirón (1998), Como paloma en vuelo (1999), and Cinco Marías y un Ángel (2001). She has also published novels ¡Cuéntame de ti, Sofia! (2003), El Ultimo sonido del caracol (2005), En busca del cemí dorado (2007) and Donde dos ríos se unen (2010).
