Pascal Danz' Malerei ist zugleich verführerisch und verstörend, leicht anzusehen, aber nicht leicht zu fassen. Known for his paintings of landscapes, cityscapes and interiors, the Swiss artist creates images that investigate our perception of time and space, the boundaries between representation and abstraction and the relationship between the original and the copy. This monograph brings together for the first time illustrations of Danz' work from the last ten years with essays by Konrad Tobler, Etienne Lullin, Felicity Lunn und Lisa Schmuckli. Whilst analysing various aspects of his work, these writers - art critic, art historian, curator and philosopher - make obervations about the ways in which images in general are both created an interpreted today.
