Author Description

"Landescapes" records my escapes from my routine urban environments to the extraordinary and often surreal landscapes of the national parks of the United States of America. This book is the first of several that are intended to present the photographs from my visits to the national parks and other extraordinary landscapes of the United States. The photographs in this book are chosen from a larger collection of photographs from each park that I have visited through 2019. My intention is to produce a book of photographs for each park and eventually a single portfolio that presents the entire collection of my photographs from the U. S. national parks.I hope that you enjoy looking at these photographs as much as I did upon seeing them on the trails while hiking and backpacking. My greatest wish is that you enjoy them enough to share with loved ones, especially children, so that all of you are inspired enough to visit or revisit these special places and to cherish and protect them. A minimum of ten percent of the proceeds from the sales of this and any other forthcoming book will be donated to the National Park Service, the National Park Foundation or other local, state or national land conservancy institutions that are directly associated with one or more of the U. S. national parks.
