Timothy Keys’ first book, I Don’t Want to Be That!, was a success and impacted the lives of many with its candid messaging and personal disclosures about his life. In his follow-up book, Are You Going to Be That?, Timothy delves even deeper into stories about his life and how it impacted his faith as an out gay black man in the south. This book pulls the cover back on what some within marginalized communities have to go through just to exist. From stories of his faith being tested, lack of support, and other obstacles, Timothy began to question his faith in God. He leaves the reader with a message of hope and why their life matters and that test in life comes only to make you stronger.
