There were two important goals in life for Florence, love and work. Learning to be a potter in St Ives, Cornwall was absorbing. Here she finds her mate. While she waits for her baby to be born, Florence reviews the chance incidents that led her there. First, her youthful adventures in London, then later in St Ives. Here she lives among potters and meets the father of the child to be. Their baby is born. She naively expects to be happy, but there is conflict between her creative self and her relationship.She had to settle for what mattered most.
