Author Description

The author travels to the High Arctic to photograph walruses. However, because the walruses are always beyond her reach due to fog, tides, the way the ice is breaking up, and other things beyond her control, the disappointed author uses cartoons to tell about the things she had hoped to see. This rhyming tale is accompanied by maps, vocabulary, photographs of the High Arctic, and information about walruses.
