Author Description

The book chronicles a father-son cross-country road trip. Gabe and Bubba travel to all twenty-nine NBA arenas to experience the uniqueness of each stadium and discover what each team means to its city. Their sojourn is a pilgrimage, which also retraces a previous path taken by Bubba, who dropped out of high school in the 1960s to become a homeless, hippie hobo.
