Global Environmental Problems: Causes, Consequences, and Potential Solutions provides an overview of the main environmental problems facing today's world. While many books on the environment place a heavy emphasis on political actors, processes, and institutions, Global Environmental Problems highlights not only environmental actors, but the causes of and potential solutions to environmental crises. Each chapter of the text uses a specific case study to address a specific issue. These include wildlife depletion, tropical deforestation, marine fisheries depletion, climate change, water pollution and shortages, and toxic waste.
