Aerendel Faelar didn’t think her life would be even remotely interesting, but when tragedy strikes her household, she stumbles upon a letter containing evidence that her father, whose disappearance years ago resulted in the belief that he was dead, is actually alive. With this knowledge, she and her three friends travel the land in an attempt to find him. During this adventure, they encounter the mysterious King and his son, Mellabar, who welcomes the company to the Order of Olinian, a group of people loyal to the King and his son and set on opposing the rising darkness of the Empire of Djall. In this epic fight for her life -and for freedom of others- Aerendel must help defeat the evil Emperor Mentir. One question remains, the answer of which could spell the fate of the resistance, and that of Aerendel herself: will she and the others overcome the darkness? Or will the darkness overcome them?
