Chelsea is a dedicated career woman whose natural habitat is the world of fashion. When she moves to the country to restore the family silk mill, the last thing she expects to do is to fall in love with the parish priest. Chelsea doesn't do falling in love, nor does she do religion. As for marriage, Chelsea doesn't do that either. In the close knit village community of Moule St Michael it seems that there is no way Chelsea and Reverend John can function as a couple. On the face of it the love affair, without the affair of course, is a recipe for disaster. And disaster it turns out to be as Chelsea makes one mistake after another, all of which are in some way detrimental to Reverend John's career. The situation isn't helped by the interference of village busybodies. When Chelsea decides that for John's sake she must end the relationship, John is determined not to give up his Golden Girl - until Chelsea makes one mistake too many. Or is it one too many? Not in the eyes of Reverend John's mother and Chelsea's Aunt Tricia, who together plot to save the relationship.
