Cocktails of Crime - Lethal Mixtures In these tales we move from the abject squalor of late19th century London to the rat-and-corpse-ridden trenches of the Western Front in 1914. A decade later, we find ourselves in a genteel English spa town, and a further decade on from that we arrive at a picturesque country estate in Shropshire. Next, we're in Florence, Italy, in the spring of 1937 on a journey that spirals back to the bloody Russian Revolution of 1917. And in the sixth and final tale (stretching from the early 1950s to 1993). we move between England and Finland, on a journey that starts in the bright sunlight of optimism and ends in the pitch black of despair. Different locations, different times. But what we witness in each of these settings is the taking of someone's life by another someone who believed that was the best - if not the only - course of action they could take. HEALTH WARNING. If you're looking for Hollywood-endings, you won't find them here. These tales have more in common with the Brothers Grimm than with the Brothers Disney.
