From Day One follows the life of Violet and her love and friendship with Wesley. The two grow up together in Seaside, Oregon, and have been the best of friends for the whole of their lives. As they get older, they develop feelings for each other that go beyond friendship. Due to a perpetual cycle of missed opportunities and obstacles, they don’t get to explore the possibility of being together. Wesley starts dating someone, then Violet follows suit, then the cycle repeats. It appears as though their stars will finally align, until college creates a distance between them that they can’t seem to overcome. When they both move back home after graduating, Violet is torn between her long-time love with Wesley and her college boyfriend, Everett. Jealousy and fear take up residence in Violet’s life and she has some difficult decisions to make, which she has learned is not a strength of hers. Violet must learn how to accept advice from her overbearing mother who means well, while making life decisions on her own. A near tragedy sets Violet on path of determination to help Wesley remember (quite literally) their unbreakable bond. Will Violet they be able to put the past aside and work through their issues? Do they even want to anymore?
