
Product Description Climate resilience, or the capacity of socio-ecological systems to adapt and upkeep their functions when facing physical-chemical stress, is a key feature of ecosystems and communities. As the risks and impacts of climate change become more intense and more visible, there is a need to foster a broader understanding of both the impacts of these disruptions to food, water, and energy supplies and to increase resilience at the national and local level. About the Author Professor Walter Leal Filho (BSc, PhD, DSc, DPhil, DL, DLitt, DEd) is Professor and Head of the Research and Transfer Centre “Sustainable Development and Climate Change Management” at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany and holds the Chair of Environment and Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. He is a Lead Author at AR6´s Working Group II (Climate Change Adaptation) at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), founding editor of the International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management, and heads the International Climate Change Information and Research Programme (ICCIRP). He is also Editor-in-Chief of the Climate Change Management series with Springer. Prof. Walter Leal serves on the editorial board of various journals.
