A new mystery under the sea brings archaeologist Professor Donald Robeson and his dive team to the Azores to search for a sunken treasure ship, Las Cinque Chagas, reputed to have millions of Cruzados, gold ingots, jewels and pearls in her hold. Don's team has a salvage license to search for the treasure ship sunk by British pirates in 1594, but Don's real treasure hunt is for the mysterious sunken pyramid discovered in 2013. The ocean surrounding the sunken pyramid is deemed 'Prohibited Area' by the Portuguese government. Don believes that this could be the long-lost city of Atlantis, for, as Plato said ‘Atlantis lay far beyond the Pillars of Hercules’, which is where the Azores lie. Soon, Don’s team realizes that they are not only dodging the Portuguese Coast Guard in their forbidden search, but also their long- time nemesis, Richard Ross Casler, who has thwarted them more than once when it comes to treasures of the deep. Employing highly trained Mercs, who will stop at nothing, not even murder, Casler has turned up on more than one archaeological search or treasure hunt – always with the intent to steal what is not his. When a hurricane blows in off the Atlantic, Don must use all his former Navy Seal training, his instincts and his trained dive team to finally beat Casler at his own game.
