The story of the American Revolution as told through the eyes of young Isaac Allerton's journal. Isaac runs away at 15 to join the Liberty Boys after tensions build between the Colonies and Great Britain over 'taxation without representation'. Follow his story as tensions build leading to the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, the Battles of Lexington & Concord, the Battle of Breed's Hill and the evacuation of Boston from the British blockade. These events lead up to the creation of the Declaration of Independence and the war front shifting to New York. After taking part in the Battles of Trenton and Princeton, and surviving the winter at Valley Forge, Isaac falls during the battle of Monmouth and a British officer finds his journal and begins writing the tale of the Revolution from a British officer's point of view. Ultimately history has recorded what happened during those long years of war, but only through the eyes of one who has witnessed it can we ever understand what drove good men to rebel against their King and declare their freedom. Only then will the truth be known.
