All love affairs own their personal anecdotes. In this narrative-in-verse, I have shared the private life between poet and artist... now no longer so private! My lover's works of art chosen for the book inspired memories and ruminations in the tradition of 'notional ekphrasis, ' in particular as it relates to poetic inquiries of the artistic ego. Yes, there were creative tensions during the course of the project, as may be expected, especially over the tone of some of the verses that have been described as caustic and 'saucy'.
