His work has been the subject of exhibitions internationally, including touring retrospectives at the Kunsthalle Dusseldorf; Tate; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; and the Museum of Modern Art, New York, among many others. Richter has worked in sculpture, photography, drawing and painting.
