When Michael Carpenter had been invited to examine the most perfectly preserved bog mummy from ancient Germany, it was the opportunity of a lifetime. Then everything came crashing down when the corpse is apparently stolen, carpenter's mentor killed, and he himself left with a traumatic brain injury. The man returned to his loving fiance, Faye, is damaged with severe amnesia. But worse, some wraith like stalker has followed them back to America, and with it comes gruesome death. Only Michael knows what this specter is, but he's not telling.
